Fraud & Scams:  Learning from History

Fraud has been a fixture in  American History since the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. The first securities fraud was committed in 1792 by a former Assistant U.S. Treasury Secretary under Alexander Hamilton. Fraud scams and schemes have not changed through history, technology has simply augmented their sophistication.  Learning from history is the most effective form of fraud deterrence.
