Prior to being named to this role in spring 2020, she served as associate vice president for development and as leader of a cohort of fundraising professionals working on behalf of the College of Humanities & Social Sciences and College of Music & Dramatic Arts.
In her role as vice president for development, she is responsible for driving the comprehensive academic fundraising strategy for LSU. Her daily efforts focus on the development of a robust, talented, results-oriented team that executes at a high level for the benefit of students and faculty. She also works in concert with LSU’s most supportive donors and friends.
Raney has presented several times for the Council in Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is active in the Baton Rouge community, having served on the Baton Rouge Affiliate of Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in both 2012 and 2013 and currently serving on board of the South Louisiana Affiliate of Teach for America. She was honored as one of the top Forty Under 40 in Baton Rouge in 2017.
