Don “Bud” Connor is a former Navy veteran, a 36 year law enforcement career investigator and currently runs his own private investigation company. He has been involved in multiple high profile investigations in his career which has led to opportunities in TV and movie productions. Bud served in numerous leadership positions in his vast law enforcement career with the Louisiana Sate Police and East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff including SWAT Commander, Narcotics Commander, Armed Robbery & Burglary Commander and Chief of Detectives just to name a few. Bud has received numerous awards for his service such as Law Enforcement Officer of the Year. A couple notable accomplishments include Bud interrogated Jeffery Doucet, the accused kidnapper and molester of Jody Plauche, in 1984, and securing a confession from Docuet as they flew to Baton Rouge. Bud escorted Docuet through the Baton Rouge airport as Jody’s father, Gary Plauche, infamously shot and killed Docuet. Bud successfully led the breakup of a large organized crime ring in Louisiana in 1980’s. He later wrote a script about the investigation that was made into a multi-million dollar movie production in 2014 called “Bad Country” starring big time Hollywood actors Matt Dillion and William Dafoe. He also had been a consultant on other true crime documentaries that aired on TNT and was featured in a story about Gary Plauche that aired on ESPN.
