International Hospitality

It doesn’t take long in Baton Rouge to go from stranger to friend; and that happens over great food. We relish welcoming incoming foreign students each semester with a home-cooked dinner and lots of love.

International Grants Project

Local Rotary Clubs are encouraged to partner with Rotary Clubs in other countries to bring about necessary changes that will benefit the people in the country where the other Rotary Club is located. Around the world, Rotary Clubs are seeking help through Rotary International for way to improve their native land or health. Members of this committee work with the Sunrise Rotary Board of Directors to determine what project Sunrise Rotary is interested in assisting and then write the necessary grants to accomplish the desired project.

LSU International Hospitality Foundation

The International Hospitality Foundation at LSU provides foreign students attending LSU with opportunities to get to know local residents, who are able to provide a welcome to these students. Sunrise Rotarians assist at a welcome dinner at the beginning of the fall semester and adopt foreign students to give them a local person to help them feel at home in Baton Rouge.
